Privacy policy
How this website handles personal information, under the Protection of Personal Information Act 4 of 2013 (POPIA).
Last updated 16 September 2026. This policy covers this website only. It does not describe how AccuBill handles the practice and patient information it processes under a service agreement with a practice, which is governed by that agreement.
Who we are
AccuBill Medical Billing Solutions provides medical billing and practice administration services in South Africa. For anything you send through this website, AccuBill is the responsible party under POPIA. You can reach us on 063 928 1899 or at accounts@accubill.co.za.
What this website collects
Only what you type into the enquiry form: your name, your practice name, your email address, your telephone number and the message you write. Nothing else is collected about you, and there is no account to create.
Please do not send patient information through this form. It is an enquiry form for practices, not a channel for patient records, claims or clinical detail. If you need to send us that kind of information, contact us first and we will arrange a secure route.
Why we collect it, and on what basis
To answer your enquiry and, where you have asked for one, to prepare a quotation. We rely on your consent, given by ticking the box on the form and submitting it. You may withdraw that consent at any time by emailing us, and we will stop processing your enquiry.
Where it goes and how long we keep it
Your enquiry is emailed to AccuBill and is not stored in this website’s database. It lives in our email, where we keep it for as long as we are in contact with you about it and for a reasonable period afterwards in case you come back to us. After that it is deleted. We do not sell it, rent it, or share it with third parties for their own purposes.
The website is hosted in South Africa. Email delivery and mailbox hosting are provided by our email provider, who processes the message only to deliver and store it for us.
Cookies and tracking
This website sets no analytics cookies, runs no advertising trackers and embeds no social media widgets. WordPress may set a short-lived technical cookie when a form is submitted; it carries no personal information and is not used to track you between visits.
Standard web server logs record the IP address and browser of visitors for security and troubleshooting. They are kept by the hosting provider on its normal retention cycle and are not used to build a profile of you.
Your rights
Under POPIA you may ask us what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, object to our processing it, and withdraw consent you have given. Email accounts@accubill.co.za and we will respond.
If you believe we have not handled your information properly, you may complain to the Information Regulator of South Africa at inforegulator.org.za.
Security
This site is served over HTTPS, so what you type into the form is encrypted in transit. We keep the website and its software up to date. No system is perfectly secure, which is the reason for the request above: keep patient information off this form.
Changes to this policy
If we change how this website handles personal information, we will update this page and change the date at the top of it.
